Help Your Neighbor

HELP YOUR NEIGHBOR… is a program funded by donations only. This program, managed by the District, offers those within the District a “little helping hand” when they need it most.  The program assists those in need with payments toward their sewer costs.  If you are in a position this holiday season to reach out with a donation, please contact the District.

Please help if you can—your neighbors will thank you.

Applications for assistance are available at the District Office.

Message from the City of Ponderay

This is our 17th year of the Santa  Sack Project aimed at giving memories to the children of Ponderay & Kootenai.  We began years ago by sending Santa Claus on a fire truck out into the

neighborhoods of Ponderay and handing out a simple bag of candy.  It was clear from those early days that there was a greater need than a small bag with candy, so the elves began stuffing hand sewn stockings to give to the children with little items of personal care.  In the past 16 years,  this

project has grown so much that Santa now hands out to each child a bag filled with all those goodies you might remember getting in your  stocking as a child.  The need was always there; we just needed to see it and address it.  We are so appreciative of all the help we have received from our business

community and our residents.  Neighbors helping neighbors has always made this project so successful.

This simple project of giving has turned into an amazing community event.  We now have children standing by the curbs

all warmly dressed and patiently waiting to see Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and the Elves.

With your generous donations and help we are able to give 400 children and 75 senior citizens a wonderful memory.  Each

child and each senior receive a beautiful hand packed Santa Sack filled with items they all can use in their daily lives.  We are

so proud of  the success of this project and the great memories you have made for so many people in Ponderay & Kootenai.

If you are interested in helping with this wonderful project by donating items or cash to help fill the Santa  Sacks, it would

be so appreciated.  The elves will be packing the sacks during the week of December 7th thru December 10th.  Your donations, as always, will be staying in our community and will be delivered personally by Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Please drop any donations off at:

PONDERAY CITY HALL

288 4th Street, located next to the Ponderay Post Office

Or we can come to your business to pick up the donations. For monetary donations, please make checks payable to:

CITY OF PONDERAY—SANTA SACK PROJECT

Please contact Ponderay City Hall at: 208-265-5468 for scheduling a donation pick-up or for a list of suggested items for donation. Our sacks are small, so smaller items are preferred.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO PONDERAY AND KOOTENAI !!
