The Idaho Pollutant Discharge Elimination System:
One of the options for compliance with discharging requirements as set by the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (IDEQ), was to submit a plan to study the Lake where we discharge. The plan was submitted which included a Field Sampling Plan (FSP) and a Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) which was prepared by a professional limnologist. KPSD has completed the first year of testing and testing will continue through 2020. The lake testing is being performed by a professional limnologist team. In February 2020 after the first year of monitoring and again in 2021 after 2 years of monitoring; monitoring data, data analysis and the interim report will be submitted to IDEQ for review.
NEW MONTHLY RATES BECAME EFFECTIVE AS OF 10/1/2019. IF YOU HAVE A BILL-PAY SYSTEM SET-UP, PLEASE UPDATE THE AMOUNT WITH YOUR FINANCIAL INSTITUTION.

A Message from the City of Ponderay
This is our 16th year of our Santa Sack Project aimed at giving memories to the children of Ponderay & Kootenai. We began years ago by sending out Santa Claus on a fire truck into the neighborhoods of Ponderay and handing out a simple bag of candy. It was clear from those early days that there was a greater need than a small bag with candy, so the elves began stuffing hand sewn stockings to give to the children with little items of personal care.
In the past 16 years this project has grown so much that Santa now hands out to each child a bag filled with all those goodies you might remember getting in your stocking as a child. A few years ago, Santa began going to the senior apartments with sacks for the seniors. The need was always there we just needed to see it and address it. We are so appreciative of all the help we have received from our business community and our residents. Neighbors helping neighbors has always made this project so successful.
We have come to you, our loyal businesses and friends, year after year to ask for your assistance and your generous donations and you have never let us down. We have always received more than our greatest expectations! We are so proud of the success of this project and the great memories you have made for so many people in Ponderay & Kootenai. If you are interested in helping with this wonderful project by donating items or cash to help fill the 2019 Santa Sacks, it would be so appreciated. We need any donations no later than December 10th. Your donations, as always, will be staying in our community and will be delivered personally by Santa and Mrs. Claus.
